Last updated: July 28, 2026

Welcome

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Calligraphy Chronicles, including our website, digital magazine, podcast, and any related content and services (collectively, the "Magazine"). By visiting the site, subscribing, or using any part of the Magazine, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Magazine.

Who we are

Calligraphy Chronicles is a quarterly digital magazine and weekly podcast covering calligraphy and lettering as fine art. You can reach us any time at [email protected].

Subscriptions and payments

Some content is available free; other content is reserved for subscribers, including Founding Subscribers. Subscription purchases are processed through our checkout provider, EventRaptor. By subscribing, you agree to pay the listed price and any applicable taxes. Founding Subscriber pricing and benefits are locked in for the term described at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law, or where we decide otherwise at our discretion. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and we'll sort it out.

Your content and conduct

If you submit comments, story ideas, or other material to us, you're confirming it's yours to share and you're giving us permission to use it in connection with the Magazine. Please don't use the site to post anything unlawful, infringing, or abusive, or to attempt to disrupt or misuse the site.

Our content

Everything published in Calligraphy Chronicles — articles, artwork, photography, podcast episodes, and design — is owned by us or licensed to us by contributing artists and writers, and is protected by copyright. You're welcome to share links to our stories. You may not republish, reproduce, or redistribute our content without our written permission.

Third-party links

We sometimes link to artists' websites, social profiles, or other outside resources. We don't control and aren't responsible for the content or practices of those third-party sites.

No guarantees

We do our best to keep the Magazine accurate, available, and enjoyable, but we provide it "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Magazine after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
